Summary:
Responsible for inspecting, supervising, and monitoring dewatering activities for drainage and sewage networks, supporting O&M and coordinating with network teams.

**PURPOSE:**
Responsible for inspecting, supervising, and monitoring dewatering activities associated with the operation and maintenance of drainage and sewage networks.
**ROLES \& RESPOSIBILITIES**
* Inspect dewatering activities related to drainage and sewage networks, including manholes, pipelines, chambers, and excavations.
* Support O\&M activities including routine maintenance, corrective works, and emergency response requiring dewatering.
* Coordinate with network operation teams to maintain continuity of drainage and sewage services during dewatering operations.
* Assist in planning dewatering requirements for maintenance and repair works.
* Liaise with contractors, supervisors, engineers, and relevant authorities on dewatering\-related activities.
* Provide technical advice and recommendations to improve dewatering efficiency and reduce network risks.
* Monitor installation, operation, and performance of dewatering systems such as pumps, sumps, bypass lines, and temporary drainage arrangements.
* Ensure dewatering works do not adversely affect adjacent utilities, roads, structures, or surrounding areas.
**Experience:**
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in drainage and sewage network operations and maintenance.
* Hands\-on experience with network dewatering systems, pumps, bypass pumping, and temporary drainage works.
* Knowledge of sewerage and stormwater network components, including pipelines, manholes, and chambers.
**Competencies:**
* Knowledge of dewatering methods and groundwater control in drainage and sewage networks.
* Strong observational and analytical skills.
* Problem\-solving ability in field conditions.
* Effective communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to assess network conditions and identify risks such as flooding, infiltration, and collapse.
* Understanding of O\&M procedures for sewerage and drainage systems.
**Education:**
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
**Language:** English (written and verbal communication)
