Utilize expertise in AutoCAD for detailed mechanical layouts Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Mechanical Draftsman** to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in **MEP drafting and mechanical services**, with practical knowledge of **CHW piping, ducting, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, sprinkler systems, and MEP coordination**. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed mechanical drawings in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed **mechanical MEP drawings** for building and construction projects. * Prepare **CHW (Chilled Water) piping layouts** and related mechanical drawings. * Prepare **HVAC ducting layouts**, including routing and coordination. * Prepare detailed **Plant Room layouts and drawings**. * Prepare **Plumbing and Drainage drawings**. * Prepare **Fire Fighting and Sprinkler system drawings**. * Prepare and update mechanical layouts based on engineering designs and site requirements. * Apply appropriate **pipe and duct sizing** for mechanical services. * Coordinate mechanical drawings with **electrical, architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines**. * Participate in **MEP coordination** and resolve clashes and drawing\-related issues. * Review project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. * Incorporate comments and revisions from engineers, consultants, and clients. * Coordinate with site teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions. * Maintain proper drawing revisions, documentation, and project records. Requirements * Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in **Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field**. * Minimum **5 years of relevant experience** as a Mechanical Draftsman. * Strong experience in **MEP drafting and mechanical services**. * Practical experience preparing **CHW piping and ducting layouts**. * Experience in **Plant Room drawings**. * Experience preparing **Plumbing and Drainage drawings**. * Experience preparing **Fire Fighting / Sprinkler drawings**. * Good knowledge of **pipe and duct sizing** for mechanical services. * Strong understanding of **MEP coordination**. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** is required. * Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Qatar/GCC project experience is an advantage. * Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
