Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and understanding codes **Job Title : Electrical Technician** **Location : Qatar** We are seeking an experienced **Electrical Technician** with minimum **7 years of relevant hands\-on experience** in the Oil \& Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industry. Requirements * Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Technical Discipline (10 years schooling \+ 3\-year Diploma). * Hands\-on experience in maintenance and modification of: * HV/MV/LV **Transformers, Switchgear \& Switchboards** * HV/MV/LV **Cables \& Terminations** * MV/LV **MCCs \& Motors** * **PLC, VFD \& UPS Systems** * Lighting, **Cathodic Protection (CP)**, Hoists and Flare Electrical Systems * Knowledge of **PLCs, Motor Protection Relays and Feeder Protection Relays**. * Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment and power circuits. * Ability to read **Single Line Diagrams, control schematics, sketches and flow charts**. * Proficient in using electrical testing equipment including **Multimeter and Megger/Insulation Tester**. * Knowledge of **electrical codes and standards (ANSI, BS/EN)**. * Knowledge of **Hazardous Area Classification (Zone/Class/Division)**. * Familiar with **LOTO, Work Permit systems, PPE, and Oil \& Gas safety/environmental requirements**. * Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and in industrial environments.
