Determine dish plating and create food decorations. Ensure appropriate portion sizes, plating, and garnishing for service. Monitor food quantities being prepared. Inform the food and beverage service team about menu items removed and the number of available specialties. Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients. Assist chefs and the kitchen brigade with various tasks. Provide items required by chefs. Monitor kitchen supply and food inventory. Maintain up-to-date kitchen logs for food safety programs and food inventory. Guarantee food quality and notify a supervisor if any product fails to meet specifications. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, enforcing disciplinary rules, motivating, and mentoring employees. Follow and implement all company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to supervisors; complete safety training and certifications. Wear a clean and complete uniform at all times; maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty; respect confidentiality regarding brand- and/or hotel-specific information and protect all company property. Respond to guest service requests. Use clear and courteous language in all communications. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers; unite and support each other to achieve common goals; listen to and appropriately address other employees' concerns. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Perform knee extension and flexion movements, including bending, twisting, pulling, and squatting. Independently move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads weighing up to 12 kilograms. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisors that are consistent with this position. QUALIFICATIONS RECOMMENDED Education Level: Diploma from a technical, vocational, or professional educational institution. Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
