Work collaboratively with a kitchen team **Job Title** **Commi Chef –** **Job Criteria** * Minimum **2 years of experience** as a Commi Chef or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering company. * Hands\-on experience in **Continental cuisine**, including soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, grilled dishes, sauces, and breakfast items. * Experience in **large\-scale catering operations**, banquet events, or bulk food preparation. * Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation. * Familiar with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP or equivalent). * Ability to prepare mise en place efficiently and work under pressure during peak service. * Capable of following recipes, portion control, and quality standards. * Good teamwork and communication skills. * Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift kitchen supplies when required. * Culinary diploma or certificate is an advantage. * Willing to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare and cook Continental dishes according to standard recipes and quality standards. * Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and catering functions. * Prepare ingredients, sauces, salads, sandwiches, pasta, grilled items, and other menu offerings. * Support catering events by ensuring timely preparation and service of food. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation. * Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. * Minimize food wastage through proper storage and portion control. * Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs. * Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries using FIFO procedures. * Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high\-quality food and efficient service.
