Opportunity to work on diverse construction projects Job Summary The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing tender documents, analyzing project requirements, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting the tendering process to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Key Responsibilities * Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. * Prepare quantity take\-offs (BOQ) from drawings and specifications. * Analyze project scope and identify cost components. * Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for technical and commercial compliance. * Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing schedules. * Calculate material, labor, equipment, overhead, and profit costs. * Conduct site visits when required to understand project conditions. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams during the bidding process. * Identify project risks and recommend cost\-effective alternatives. * Prepare technical and commercial bid documents. * Assist in preparing tender clarifications and responses to client queries. * Maintain a database of material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor information. * Ensure estimates comply with company policies and client requirements. * Participate in tender meetings and bid reviews. * Support project handover after successful award. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering discipline. * Professional certifications in estimation or quantity surveying are an advantage. Experience * 3–8 years of experience in construction estimation or tendering. * Experience in building, infrastructure, MEP, industrial, or oil \& gas projects is preferred. * GCC/Qatar experience is an advantage. Technical Skills * Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Strong understanding of BOQ preparation. * Cost estimation and budgeting. * Tender preparation and bid analysis. * Quantity surveying principles. * Vendor and subcontractor evaluation. * Contract documentation review. * Rate analysis and cost control. * Risk assessment during bidding. Software Skills * Microsoft Excel (Advanced) * Microsoft Office Suite * AutoCAD * PlanSwift / CostX / Bluebeam (preferred) * Primavera P6 (basic knowledge preferred) * ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics (advantage) Competencies * Strong analytical and numerical skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Effective communication and negotiation skills. * Time management and ability to meet tender deadlines. * Problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities. * Teamwork and collaboration. * Ability to work under pressure. Pay: QAR5,000\.00 \- QAR8,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
