Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules **Job description:** Job Title: Procurement Officer (Construction) Job Summary: The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services within Qatar, ensuring compliance with local regulations, project requirements, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Source local and international suppliers for construction materials and services * Obtain and evaluate quotations in line with project specifications * Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules * Prepare and issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) * Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials * Ensure compliance with Qatar standards and project requirements * Liaise with logistics teams for import procedures, customs clearance, and delivery * Maintain relationships with approved vendors in Qatar * Monitor inventory levels to avoid delays in project execution * Keep accurate records of procurement activities and documentation Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree or diploma * 3–5 years of experience in construction procurement (preferably in Qatar or GCC) * Good knowledge of local suppliers and construction materials in Qatar * Familiarity with Qatar import regulations and documentation is an advantage * Strong negotiation and communication skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems Job Type: Full\-time Pay: From QAR2,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
