We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Supervisor to join our team immediately. **Job Responsibilities:** * Oversee and manage the entire procurement cycle, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services. * Negotiate with international suppliers to secure competitive prices, terms, and delivery schedules. * Prepare, review, and manage import/export documentation in accordance with international standards and Qatar regulations. * Utilize HS codes effectively for customs classification and compliance. * Ensure adherence to Qatar Standardization requirements and obtain necessary approvals for shipments. * Manage Letters of Credit (LC) and other payment terms with suppliers. * Coordinate customs clearance processes and facilitate smooth import/export operations. * Handle Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance, packaging, and shipping regulations. * Obtain necessary permits, certifications, and approvals for shipments, in accordance with local and international regulations. * Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure efficient supply chain operations. * Monitor and control procurement budgets and ensure cost\-effective purchasing practices. * Prepare reports on procurement activities and provide recommendations for process improvements. * Stay updated with international trade regulations, tariffs, and industry best practices. **Additional Duties:** * Support the inventory management team to optimize stock levels. * Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide timely support. * Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and alternative sources. * Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to procurement activities. **Qualifications:** * Proven experience as a Purchasing Supervisor or in a similar procurement role, preferably in Qatar or the Middle East. * Strong negotiation skills with international suppliers. * Extensive knowledge of import/export documentation, HS codes, and customs procedures. * Familiarity with Qatar Standards and certification processes. * Experience with Letters of Credit (LC) and other international payment mechanisms. * Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping regulations and safety standards. * Ability to coordinate and facilitate customs clearance and shipment approvals. * Comprehensive understanding of the complete procurement cycle. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Immediate joiners preferred. **How to Apply:** If you meet the above qualifications and are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, please submit your updated CV to **manonuevo@simex.qa** with the subject line **"Purchasing Supervisor Application."** Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent Pay: From QAR1\.00 per month Application Question(s): * What is your expected salary for the position of Purchasing Supervisor? * How soon can you join our company if selected? * Please describe your experience with import/export documentation and how you ensure compliance with customs regulations. * How familiar are you with HS codes, Qatar Standards, and obtaining necessary approvals for shipments?
