Job Description – Cost Controller (Production Unit) **Position:** Cost Controller **Department:** Production / Food Manufacturing Unit **Industry:** Food Production / Catering / FMCG Job Summary: The Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring production costs, analyzing expenses, controlling wastage, and ensuring effective cost management within the production unit. The role involves tracking raw material usage, production efficiency, inventory control, and preparing cost reports to support profitability. Key Responsibilities: * Monitor and control production costs including raw materials, labor, overheads, and operational expenses. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost analysis reports for management review. * Track raw material consumption and compare actual usage against standard costs. * Monitor food cost, yield, wastage, and production variances. * Analyze production processes to identify cost\-saving opportunities. * Maintain accurate costing records for all products and recipes. * Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams. * Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and expiry/wastage control. * Conduct regular cost audits and variance analysis. * Support budgeting and forecasting activities. * Ensure proper documentation of production costs and inventory transactions. * Develop reports on profitability, production efficiency, and cost performance. * Implement cost control procedures and improve operational efficiency. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Management, or related field. * Minimum **5–8 years of experience as a Cost Controller**, preferably in food production, central kitchen, catering, or FMCG manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and production accounting. * Experience with ERP systems and cost analysis tools. * Excellent analytical and reporting skills. * Strong understanding of production processes and cost optimization. * GCC experience preferred.
