Work on biggest, most rewarding challenges to build skills ### **General Information** Ref \# 234545 Location Qatar\-Doha Job family Engineering * Closing Date: 2026\-09\-07 ### **Description** **About the role** Facilitate the review, evaluation, and distribution of system\-related activities and tasks across Line Production Control, Light Maintenance Production Control Center (PCC), and Heavy Maintenance Control Center (HMCC) Tech Cell, ensuring effective coordination, technical compliance, resource optimization, and timely maintenance execution. **Operational Accountabilities;** Light Maintenance Production Control Center * Evaluating incoming Deferred Defects (DDs), Troubleshooting Recommendations (TSRs), and Technical Cell support requests from Line Maintenance, Quality Engineering, and other operational stakeholders. * Reviewing Aircraft Maintenance Pre\-Input Packages to identify and highlight system\-critical tasks, modifications, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with allocated Turnaround Time (TAT) requirements. * Assessing first\-time and complex aircraft maintenance tasks prior to work acceptance to verify the availability of required manpower, materials, spare parts, tooling, equipment, and logistics support. * Supporting Production Planning by providing technical reviews, task card amendment recommendations, and feasibility assessments for complex tasks, major modifications, and first\-time maintenance activities. * Coordinating with Production Planning and Engineering teams to ensure the availability of approved engineering documentation, serviceable equipment, required tools, and aircraft parts before maintenance execution. * Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending troubleshooting solutions for recurrent and critical aircraft system defects to improve reliability and maintenance effectiveness. * Conducting pre\-induction briefings for Shift Managers and Supervisors on Deferred Defects (DDs), Troubleshooting Recommendations (TSRs), critical system issues, and pre\-arrival/pre\-dock maintenance requirements. * Communicating lessons learned, system challenges, and maintenance events from previous aircraft inputs to mitigate risks and support effective planning for upcoming maintenance activities. * Analyzing current and historical aircraft maintenance data, including modifications, major rectifications, and critical defects, to support case studies, reliability improvements, and future maintenance planning. * Supporting continuous operational improvement and performing additional departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department. **Be part of an extraordinary story** Your skills. Together, everything is possible. ### **Qualification** **About You** * Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 7 plus years of job\-related experience. **Essential:** * Minimum of 02 years' experience in Production as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (EN.01\) and holds a company authorization for QR Fleet Type Rating * Degree (B. Eng., BSc in Engineering discipline) or hold an ICAO type Il License. * General Knowledge of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Environment constraints. * Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance data * Knowledge of Part M and and Part\-145 Regulations and functions. * Project management and execution * Excellent decision\-making skills \- Ability to take correct decisions keeping in view all the constraints within relatively short period of time. * Strong\-analytical skills to handle complex operational situations. * Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Efficient in time management and above average ability to prioritize tasks. * Willingness to work or assist operations team outside normal working hours. * Excellent communication skill (speak/read/write) in English. * Good background in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Good technical report writing skills * Managerial skills \- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members. **Preferred:** * Any additional courses related to Aircraft Maintenance Planning, LEAN Fundamentals, and Safety Management System. * Proof of involvement in any process improvement exercise within Production * Ability to communicate technical information to the sections inside technical department. * Good knowledge of IT System(s) being used in Planning. **About Qatar Airways Group** Our story started with four aircraft.
