Support staff professional growth and mentorship **Job Summary** To lead, manage, and inspire the EYFS team, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and development in line with the Cambridge curriculum. To promote TNG School’s vision and mission, focusing on a high\-quality educational environment that fosters academic, personal, and spiritual growth in young learners. To ensure that all students in the Foundation Stage receive a high\-quality education that meets the Cambridge standards and supports the holistic development of each child. To support the strategic development of the EYFS phase and contribute to the school's overall leadership and direction. **Leadership and Management** Lead and manage the EYFS team to ensure consistent implementation of the Cambridge curriculum, high\-quality teaching, and effective use of resources. Develop a collaborative and motivated EYFS team through clear communication, coaching, and professional development. Provide day\-to\-day leadership and support within the EYFS phase, aligning with the school’s strategic goals and improvement plans. Oversee planning, assessment, and progress tracking across the EYFS phase, ensuring that all pupils’ needs are met and high standards of learning are maintained. **Curriculum and Assessment** Implement the Cambridge EYFS framework, ensuring a coherent and progressive curriculum that promotes inquiry\-based learning and supports child development in all areas. Coordinate and monitor assessment processes, ensuring accurate tracking of student progress and outcomes, and use data to inform planning and interventions. Foster strong parental engagement through regular communication about students’ progress and workshops that help parents support their child’s learning. **Teaching and Learning** Ensure that teaching across the EYFS is consistently good or outstanding by supporting, developing, and coaching staff. Lead the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies that engage young learners and enhance their progress, particularly focusing on play\-based and inquiry\-led approaches in line with Cambridge standards. Promote a rich, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that reflects the diversity and strengths of the student body. **Professional Development and Mentorship** Lead performance management and development for EYFS staff, providing regular feedback and opportunities for professional growth. Support the induction, mentoring, and coaching of newly qualified teachers and new staff, fostering a strong team ethic. Provide ongoing professional development, ensuring staff remain up\-to\-date with the latest trends in early childhood education, especially those relating to Cambridge practices. **Parental and Community Engagement** Establish strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on their child’s progress and well\-being. Organize workshops and community events to involve parents in their child’s learning journey, and strengthen the home\-school partnership. Build relationships with local early years settings, contributing to smooth transitions and sharing of good practices. **Safeguarding and Welfare** Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are rigorously applied to protect the well\-being of all students within the EYFS phase. Promote a safe and secure learning environment that supports each child’s physical and emotional development. **Resource Management** Oversee the management and allocation of resources within the EYFS phase, ensuring they are used effectively to enhance learning. Regularly review the range and quality of EYFS resources, ensuring they provide value for money and support the school’s educational goals. **Accountability** Be accountable for the educational performance of the EYFS phase, providing accurate and detailed reports on pupil outcomes to the Headteacher, Governors, and other relevant stakeholders. Contribute to the school’s self\-evaluation processes, helping to identify areas for improvement and developing action plans to address them. **Other Responsibilities** Participate fully in the wider life of TNG School, contributing to staff meetings, professional development programs, and whole\-school events.
