Expertise in AutoCAD for design and drawing preparation **Job Purpose / Basic Function:** The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for preparing technical and commercial quotations, reviewing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, shop drawings, material take\-offs, and technical submittals for swimming pool construction, renovation, maintenance, and water feature projects. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, and coordination with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution. **Duties and responsibilities:** · Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations for swimming pool construction, maintenance, renovation, and water feature projects. · Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications. · Conduct quantity take\-offs and cost estimation. · Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. · Analyze project costs and prepare competitive pricing. · Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best commercial terms. · Prepare shop drawings and as\-built drawings using AutoCAD. · Review architectural, structural, MEP, and swimming pool drawings. · Coordinate with site engineers regarding technical issues. · Prepare method statements and technical reports. · Develop project execution plans and work schedules. · Prepare layouts for Residential swimming pools, Commercial swimming pools, Infinity pools, Overflow pools, Jacuzzi and spa systems, Decorative fountains, Water features. · Coordinate with procurement for material selection and purchasing. · Review supplier quotations and technical compliance. · Recommend cost\-effective materials and alternatives. · Monitor material delivery schedules. · Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions. · Develop BOQs and pricing schedules. · Prepare compliance statements and technical documentation. · Attend pre\-bid meetings and site visits when required. · Responsible for exercise due diligence towards health and safety of self \& others in the organization. · Responsible to comply with the applicable health \& safety procedures, instruction, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies. **Qualifications:** · 3–5 years of experience in swimming pool construction / Building Construction, maintenance, or water feature projects. · Experience in technical office, estimation, or tendering. · Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering. · AutoCAD Experience is Mandatory GCC/Qatar experience is preferred.
