Summary: The MEP Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and optimization of MEP systems across diverse facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and high service quality. Supervise maintenance teams and foster strong client relationships The MEP Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and optimization of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. The role ensures that all MEP systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Qatar regulations, client requirements, and company standards. The MEP Engineer will supervise maintenance teams, manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure high service quality. **Key Responsibilities:** **Operations \& Maintenance** * Manage the day\-to\-day operation and maintenance of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems. * Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs. * Diagnose technical issues and recommend effective engineering solutions. * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices. * Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs, replacements, or upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency. **Engineering \& Technical Support** * Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures. * Conduct routine inspections and technical audits of building services. * Provide engineering support for troubleshooting complex MEP issues. * Coordinate testing, commissioning, and recommissioning of MEP systems when required. * Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international engineering practices. **Team Management** * Supervise technicians and subcontractors performing maintenance activities. * Allocate work assignments and monitor team performance. * Provide technical guidance and on\-the\-job training to maintenance personnel. * Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed service levels. **Client \& Contract Management** * Maintain strong relationships with clients by responding promptly to technical concerns. * Attend client meetings and provide technical reports and recommendations. * Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). * Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work. **Health, Safety \& Quality** * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and Qatar safety regulations. * Conduct risk assessments before maintenance activities. * Ensure all permits to work (PTW) are properly obtained where applicable. * Promote safe work practices and ensure proper use of PPE. **Documentation \& Reporting** * Prepare maintenance schedules, technical reports, and inspection reports. * Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). * Prepare monthly operational reports, asset condition reports, and maintenance performance analyses. * Monitor inventory of critical spare parts and recommend procurement when necessary. **Qualifications and Requirements:** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical \& Electrical (MEP) Engineering. * Professional engineering certification is an advantage. * UPDA/MMUP registration is preferred. * Minimum **5 years** of experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or MEP Maintenance. * Experience managing maintenance contracts for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, or mixed\-use facilities. * Previous experience in Qatar or GCC countries is preferred. * Strong knowledge of: * HVAC systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, Split Units) * Electrical distribution systems (LV systems, generators, UPS) * Plumbing and drainage systems * Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems * Building Management System (BMS) * Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Experience with CMMS software. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
