Determine dish plating and create food decorations. Ensure proper portions, plating, and garnishing for service. Monitor food quantity being prepared. Inform the food and beverage service team about menu items removed and the number of available specialties. Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients. Assist kitchen staff and brigade with various tasks. Provide items needed by kitchen staff. Monitor kitchen supply and food inventory. Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and food items. Guarantee food quality and notify a supervisor if a product fails to meet specifications. Assist management with hiring, training, planning, evaluating, counseling, reminding of disciplinary rules, motivating, and supporting employees. Follow and implement all company safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to the supervisor; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure wearing of clean and complete work uniforms; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times in the workplace; respect confidentiality when disseminating information specific to the brand and/or hotel, and protect all company property. Respond to guest service requests. Use clear and courteous language in all communications. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers; unite and support each other to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees' concerns. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Be able to perform knee extension and flexion movements, including bending, twisting, pulling, and squatting. Independently move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads weighing up to 12 kilograms. Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisors that are consistent with the position. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS Education Level: Diploma from a technical, vocational, or professional educational institution. Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
