Washes and peels fresh fruits and vegetables. Measures, weighs, and mixes ingredients. Prepares and cooks food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. Prepares cold food items. Operates ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Tests food to ensure it is cooked thoroughly. Monitors food quality during preparation. Prepares and cleans food work areas. Portionally places food into appropriate containers for service. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Verifies and confirms appliance and food temperatures are accurate. Complies with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; reports maintenance and repair needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and completes safety training and certifications. Maintains a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance. Protects confidential information and company assets. Communicates with others using clear and professional language. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports team efforts toward achieving common goals, listens attentively to colleagues’ concerns, and responds appropriately. Adheres to quality expectations and standards. Stands, sits, walks, and bends for extended periods during shifts. Bends, twists, pulls, stoops, and reaches above head and below knees. Lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and sets down objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Performs other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
