A Pellet Machine Operator runs and monitors machinery that turns raw materials (feed) into uniform pellets, focusing on quality, efficiency, and safety by adjusting settings (steam, temp, pressure), performing checks, troubleshooting minor issues, cleaning equipment, and documenting production, all while following strict safety protocols. **Job Responsibilities** * **Operation:** Start, stop, and operate the pellet mill, ensuring continuous, smooth production flow. * **Monitoring:** Oversee machinery, adjusting steam, pressure, and temperature for consistent pellet quality (size, texture). * **Quality Control:** Inspect finished pellets for quality, perform tests, and ensure they meet specifications. * **Maintenance:** Perform routine checks, clean equipment, and report wear or damage to maintenance teams. * **Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve minor mechanical/technical issues to minimize downtime. * **Documentation:** Keep accurate logs of production, machine settings, and quality checks. * **Safety:** Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and maintain a clean work area. * **Collaboration:** Work with production and maintenance teams to meet targets. **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * Experience in feed or biomass pellet manufacturing preferred. * Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting. * Attention to detail and strong work ethic. * Ability to follow procedures and work in an industrial setting. * Strong communication skills. * Physical ability to stand, lift, and move materials.
