Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** **Site Engineer (MEP)** **Qatar** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Site Engineer (MEP)** to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and coordinate MEP construction activities on major rail, tram, and infrastructure projects, ensuring works are executed safely, to the required quality, and in accordance with project schedules, designs, and specifications. You will work closely with construction management, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support successful project delivery. **What You’ll Be Doing** * Monitoring and coordinating all contractors’ MEP activities on site. * Developing discipline\-specific construction schedules and monitoring progress, providing schedule and progress appraisal reports to the Construction Manager. * Monitoring material procurement and deliveries to ensure timely support of construction activities and alignment with the construction schedule. * Ensuring that materials received meet project specifications and established quality standards. * Maintaining first\-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all works within the MEP discipline is in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards. * Supervising MEP construction engineering work and providing technical support and guidance to construction and survey personnel. * Ensuring that all required tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures. * Collaborating with construction management to identify and eliminate hazards that may adversely affect the environment, safety, or health of employees. * Ensuring that personnel within the assigned team follow safe work practices in compliance with site\-specific safety procedures and industry standards. * Establishing and maintaining liaison with discipline design engineering staff and, where necessary, with third\-party retail tenants and leaseholders across Doha Metro and Lusail Tram assets. * Reviewing and interpreting discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision status and correct technical execution of the works. * Providing resolutions for technical engineering problems and coordinating the implementation of solutions on site. * Initiating and maintaining records, back\-charge documentation, progress reports, and other project records as required. * Organizing and compiling data for final project turnover documentation and reports. **What Required Skills You’ll Bring** * BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a construction\-related field. * At least 10 years of post\-graduate experience on major rail, tram, or infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC. * Strong track record in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary site teams. * Solid understanding of MEP construction methods, standards, and quality requirements. * Demonstrated ability to multitask, effectively problem\-solve, and manage multiple work fronts simultaneously. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders. * Must have valid MME registration in Qatar. **What Desired Skills You’ll Bring** * Prior experience on Doha Metro, Lusail Tram, or similar rail/transit systems. * Familiarity with local authority requirements and standards for MEP installations in Qatar. * Experience with construction planning, progress tracking, and reporting tools. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and project close\-out activities.
