The primary role is to perform physical labor at construction sites, assisting skilled tradespeople (such as carpenters, electricians, and masons) and ensuring the workspace is safe, clean, and efficient. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast\-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** * **Site Preparation:** Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and erecting scaffolding or temporary structures. * **Material Handling:** Load, unload, and transport construction materials (e.g., lumber, drywall, concrete, steel) to the specific areas where they are needed. * **Equipment Operation:** Operate hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and power tools (jackhammers, concrete mixers, compactors) safely and efficiently. * **Assisting Trades:** Assist carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and masons with their specific tasks (e.g., holding materials, measuring, cutting). * **Demolition:** Break down old structures, remove fixtures, and assist in site demolition while following safety protocols. * **Safety Compliance:** Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. * **Quality Control:** Ensure that the work area is kept organized and that all materials are stored properly to prevent damage or theft. * **Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately. **Qualifications \& RequirementsEducation \& Experience** * **Education:** High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. * **Experience:** Minimum of **1\-2 years** of experience in construction, general labor, or a related field is preferred (on\-the\-job training is available for motivated candidates). **Certifications (Preferred but not required)** * OSHA 10\-Hour or 30\-Hour Construction Safety Certification. * First Aid/CPR Certification. * Valid Driver’s License (to operate company vehicles). **Skills \& Abilities** * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents (basic level). * Basic math skills (measuring, cutting, calculating angles). * Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction. * Reliability and punctuality.
