Contribute to final well reports and post-mortem analyses Category: Oil and Gas Industry: Oil \& Gas City/Country: Doha, Qatar Location: Doha### **We are looking for a** **Wellsite Geologist Expertise** **with the following details** * **Work Scheme:** Residential, single * **Duration** : 12 months * **Location:** Doha, Qatar ### **Experience Requirements** * **Experience Required:** 7 years in operations geology domain * **Relevant Experience Required:** Minimum of 3 years as a senior wellsite geologist * **Industry\-Specific Experience:** Proficient in geosteering, pressure/temperature, and drilling ### **Qualifications** * **Minimum Qualification Required:** Technician (BTS), BSc, or higher degree in Geosciences * **Preferred Qualification:** Not specified * **Certifications:** + Valid BOSIET / HUET \& CA EBS certificates + Certification degree in the supervision of Operations Geology as per company rules ### **Responsibilities and Skills** * **Key Responsibilities:** + Observe the Company HSE policy, rules, and procedures. + Contribute to the development of a safety culture within the operational team onshore/offshore. + Supervise adherence to safety procedures and orders by all staff and service company personnel under supervision. + Enhance operational safety through effective real\-time identification and interpretation of drilling hazards. + Participate in risk assessments, pre\-job meetings, and procedure preparation and reviews. + Collect and share safety alerts, incident, and accident reports. + Represent the Geosciences entity at the well site and strictly follow the well program as outlined in the WSOR. + Provide real\-time geo\-steering decisions per WSOR objectives. + Ensure supervision and coordination of geological surveillance tasks. + Apply company standards, including PPFG follow\-up, geohazard identification, sample handling, and QA/QC for LWD and Mudlog data. + Decide on geo\-stopping points for reservoir entry, coring points, or TD in consultation with management. + Guarantee data quality and flow from rig to base and perform quick\-look interpretations. + Contribute to final well reports, post\-mortem analyses, and SUB tasks through integration into the SUB team. + Supervise service company equipment and personnel reception and evaluate their performance. + Drive onboard training for new well site geologists. + Ensure effective communication between all parties at the well site for geological operation execution. + Optimize drilling program execution and contribute to data quality and reliability. * **Technical \& Domain Skills:** + Strong technical expertise in geological operations, including geosteering, pressure/temperature, and drilling. + Knowledge of Petrophysics and reservoir characterization for quick\-look interpretation. + Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of StarSteer and Gravitas is advantageous. + Necessary HSE training (Valid BOSIET / HUET \& CA EBS certificates). * **Soft Skills:** + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Strong sense of team spirit. + Adaptability for coordinating multicultural and multi\-language teams. * **Preferred Skills:** + Good knowledge of StarSteer and Gravitas software.
