We are currently looking for a detail\-oriented and analytical **Accountant** to join our finance team and help drive our continued growth. **Role Overview:** As an Accountant at Barzan Energy Solutions, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s daily financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a solid understanding of accounting principles, ideally within the energy or engineering sector. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage day\-to\-day accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). * Prepare, verify, and process invoices, expense reports, and payment runs. * Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations and assist with month\-end and year\-end close processes. * Prepare accurate financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit \& Loss (P\&L) statements, and Cash Flow reports. * Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with inventory accounting. * Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. * Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., VAT filing) and statutory reporting requirements. * Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during annual audits. * Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement cost\-saving measures. **Qualifications \& Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. * Professional certification (such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA) is highly preferred or currently in progress. * Minimum of 2\-3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the energy, oil \& gas, or engineering and contracting sectors. * Strong proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Tally) and advanced skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.). * Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting laws. * Exceptional attention to detail and high ethical standards regarding the handling of confidential information. * Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage. **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. * Comprehensive medical insurance. * End\-of\-service benefits in accordance with local labor laws. * A collaborative and professional work environment with opportunities for career advancement.
