Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding **Job Title:** Welder / Fabricator **Reports To:** Production Supervisor / Shop Foreman **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, joining, and shaping metal components according to blueprints and specifications. You will operate various welding equipment safely and efficiently to produce high\-quality products within a fast\-paced production environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements. * Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux\-Cored). * Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. * Align and clamp workpieces using jigs, fixtures, or hand tools to ensure precise dimensions. * Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws (cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion). * Operate manual or semi\-automatic welding equipment and flame\-cutting torches. * Grind, cut, or clean metal stock to prepare surfaces for welding. * Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. **Required Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience as a Welder (X\+ years, specify). * Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding; TIG experience is a plus. * Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings. * Knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques for various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless). * Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
