Oversee HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems. **Job Title: MEP Project Manager Job Summary** The MEP Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, and successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for Interior Fit\-Out, MEP Contracting, and Design \& Build projects. The role involves managing all phases of the project from design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, to final handover while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, health and safety regulations, project schedules, and budgets. **Key Duties and Responsibilities** **Project Planning \& Management** * Lead and manage multiple MEP projects from award through final completion and handover. * Develop project execution plans, construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and procurement schedules. * Review contract documents, tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements. * Coordinate project kick\-off meetings and establish project objectives and milestones. * Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within approved timelines and budgets. * Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. * Prepare recovery plans whenever project delays are anticipated. **Design \& Technical Coordination** * Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and clients during design development. * Review and approve MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings, coordinated ceiling layouts, builder's work drawings, and as\-built drawings. * Ensure MEP services are fully coordinated with architectural, civil, structural, and joinery works. * Resolve design clashes using coordinated drawings and BIM models where applicable. * Review material submittals, technical data sheets, method statements, RFIs, and engineering proposals. * Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, project specifications, and international standards. **Interior Fit\-Out Coordination** * Coordinate MEP installations with ceiling works, gypsum partitions, flooring, joinery, millwork, decorative finishes, lighting layouts, feature ceilings, kitchen installations, and specialist systems. * Ensure MEP services do not interfere with architectural finishes. * Coordinate concealed services before closure of ceilings and partitions. * Work closely with interior designers and fit\-out teams to maintain design intent while ensuring functionality. * Plan installations to minimize disruption to finishing works. **MEP Construction Management** **Mechanical** * Oversee HVAC installations including chilled water systems, DX systems, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation, smoke extraction, kitchen exhaust, and pressurization systems. * Ensure proper installation of ductwork, piping, insulation, pumps, FCUs, AHUs, and associated equipment. **Electrical** * Supervise LV electrical installations including MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, cable trays, containment systems, lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and earthing systems. * Coordinate installation of generators, UPS systems, and transformer interfaces where applicable. **Plumbing \& Drainage** * Manage domestic water, drainage, irrigation, grease waste, sewage, stormwater, and hot water systems. * Ensure proper testing and commissioning of plumbing systems. **Fire Protection** * Supervise fire fighting, fire alarm, sprinkler, FM200, kitchen suppression, and emergency systems. * Coordinate authority inspections and approvals. **ELV Systems** * Coordinate CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, AV systems, intercom, BMS, Wi\-Fi infrastructure, and security systems. **Design \& Build Responsibilities** * Participate in concept development and value engineering exercises. * Provide practical engineering solutions to optimize cost, buildability, and performance. * Coordinate with design consultants to ensure designs are construction\-ready. * Review design changes and assess their impact on cost and schedule. * Support estimation and tender teams during design development. **Procurement \& Commercial Management** * Prepare procurement schedules for long\-lead materials. * Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. * Review supplier quotations and technical compliance. * Evaluate subcontractor capabilities and monitor their performance. * Control project costs and monitor budgets. * Review variations, change orders, claims, and contractual correspondence. * Assist commercial teams with project forecasting and financial reporting. **Site Management** * Supervise project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, QA/QC engineers, HSE officers, foremen, and subcontractors. * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and progress. * Ensure compliance with approved method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs). * Coordinate daily activities among various trades to maintain workflow efficiency. * Resolve technical and construction issues promptly. **Quality Assurance \& Quality Control** * Ensure all works comply with project specifications, approved shop drawings, and quality standards. * Monitor inspection requests (IRs), material inspections (MIRs), and testing procedures. * Ensure proper documentation of inspections and quality records. * Rectify non\-conformances and implement corrective actions. **Health, Safety \& Environment (HSE)** * Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites. * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations. * Conduct toolbox talks and safety coordination meetings. * Ensure safe work practices during installation and commissioning activities. * Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures. **Testing, Commissioning \& Handover** * Develop commissioning schedules and coordinate all testing activities. * Ensure successful testing and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems. * Coordinate integrated systems testing with consultants and clients. * Manage authority inspections and approvals. * Prepare handover documentation including: * As\-built drawings * Operation \& Maintenance Manuals * Test certificates * Warranty documents * Asset registers * Training documentation **Client \& Stakeholder Management** * Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP matters. * Conduct progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors. * Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. * Resolve client concerns professionally and promptly. **Leadership \& Team Development** * Lead multidisciplinary project teams effectively. * Mentor and develop junior engineers and supervisors. * Allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide technical guidance. * Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 5–12 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role. * Extensive experience in Interior Fit\-Out, Commercial Buildings, Retail, Hospitality, Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, and Design \& Build projects. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, BMS, and Building Services. * Thorough understanding of Qatar authority regulations and approval processes. * Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office. * PMP certification is
