Career growth and professional development opportunities **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **About the Role** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Electrical Design Engineer** with a valid **UPDA (MMUP) Certificate** to join our engineering team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical building services for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare electrical design drawings, calculations, and technical specifications for building services. * Design power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, ELV systems, grounding, lightning protection, and fire alarm systems. * Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short\-circuit, and protection coordination studies. * Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. * Prepare authority submission documents and support approvals with Kahramaa, Civil Defense, Ashghal, and other relevant authorities. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. * Attend coordination meetings and provide technical support during design and construction stages. * Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), IEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards. * Support project teams from concept design through IFC documentation. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. * **Valid UPDA/MMUP Engineering Certificate (Grade A, B, or C).** * Minimum **5 years of experience** in electrical design, preferably in Qatar or the GCC. * Strong knowledge of QCS, IEC, NFPA, and local authority requirements. * Proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit MEP * Dialux EVO * ETAP or equivalent electrical analysis software * Microsoft Office * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with healthcare, commercial, mixed\-use, or high\-rise building projects. * Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination. * Experience in authority submissions and obtaining approvals in Qatar. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary package. * Career growth and professional development opportunities. * Collaborative and dynamic work environment. * Opportunity to work on prestigious projects across Qatar.
