Opportunity to work on an EPC Oil & Gas project Job Title: Fire Proofing Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Project:** EPC / Oil \& Gas **Employment Type:** Full\-time / Project\-based **Joining:** Immediate preferred Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Fire Proofing Engineer** for an EPC Oil \& Gas project in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating Passive Fire Protection (PFP) works, including cementitious fireproofing, intumescent coating, structural steel fireproofing, surface preparation, inspections, and quality compliance. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and monitor fireproofing / Passive Fire Protection works at site. * Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and ITP. * Monitor surface preparation, primer condition, mesh fixing, material mixing, application, curing, and repair works. * Coordinate inspections with QA/QC, client inspectors, subcontractors, and construction teams. * Check fireproofing thickness, quality, finishing, and compliance with project requirements. * Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, material usage reports, and site documentation. * Support punch list clearance and handover activities. * Ensure compliance with HSE standards, PTW requirements, and safe work practices. Requirements * Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Coating, or related Engineering field. * Minimum 5–8 years of experience in fireproofing / Passive Fire Protection works. * Experience in cementitious fireproofing, intumescent coating, structural steel fireproofing, and surface preparation. * Oil \& Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or EPC project experience preferred. * Knowledge of method statements, ITP, project specifications, material datasheets, and inspection procedures. * Ability to coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. * Qatar / GCC experience will be an advantage. * Candidates available in Qatar with valid QID and immediate joining preferred. Preferred Certifications * BGAS / NACE / ICorr certification will be an advantage. * Fireproofing / PFP manufacturer training will be an advantage.
