Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards **Job Description – Instrumentation Engineer (Oil \& Gas Project)** **Position:** Instrumentation Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Instrumentation Engineer** to join our Oil \& Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance support of instrumentation and control systems. The role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, and in compliance with client specifications and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and coordinate instrumentation engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Supervise the installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of field instrumentation and control systems. * Review instrumentation drawings, datasheets, loop diagrams, hook\-up drawings, cable schedules, and technical specifications. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. * Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), loop checking, and functional testing. * Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during installation and commissioning. * Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with HSE regulations and quality standards. * Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives on technical matters. * Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and project documentation. * Support project handover and close\-out activities. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in **Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering**, or an equivalent discipline. * Minimum **7–10 years of experience** in the Oil \& Gas industry. * Proven experience in instrumentation design, installation, testing, and commissioning. * Strong experience with control systems and field instrumentation. * Experience working on EPIC or major Oil \& Gas projects is preferred. * Knowledge of international standards such as IEC, ISA, and applicable client specifications. * Strong analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
