Summary: The Project Engineer provides technical and engineering support throughout construction projects, ensuring execution according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines. Liaise with various stakeholders and client representatives. **POSITION SUMMARY** The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical and engineering support throughout all phases of construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and clients, the Project Engineer ensures that projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. This role demands a proactive, detail\-oriented professional capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast\-paced construction environment. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **1\. Project Planning \& Coordination** * Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents. * Assist in preparing method statements, work programs, and project schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project). * Coordinate with architects, consultants, and sub\-contractors for technical clarifications. * Prepare and submit shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs (Requests for Information). **2\. Site Execution \& Supervision** * Monitor day\-to\-day site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. * Supervise subcontractors and labour teams to maintain schedule and quality targets. * Identify and resolve technical issues on site in a timely manner. * Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams. **3\. Quality Assurance \& HSE Compliance** * Ensure all work is executed in accordance with project quality plans and ISO standards. * Participate in quality audits, NCR (Non\-Conformance Report) resolution, and corrective actions. * Enforce Health, Safety \& Environment (HSE) procedures on site at all times. * Conduct and document toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments. **4\. Documentation \& Reporting** * Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, material delivery logs, and progress photos. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for the Project Manager and client. * Track project milestones and flag potential delays with proposed mitigation measures. * Manage correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives. **5\. Cost \& Quantity Management** * Liaise with the quantity surveying team for measurement, variation orders, and BOQ verification. * Review and approve subcontractor invoices and material procurement requests. * Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and flag cost overruns. **6\. Stakeholder \& Client Management** * Represent the company in site meetings, progress reviews, and client discussions. * Maintain professional relationships with consultants, client representatives, and authorities. * Respond to client queries and ensure timely resolution of technical and commercial issues. **QUALIFICATIONS \& REQUIREMENTS** **Education** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. * Postgraduate certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2\) is an advantage. **Experience** * Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction project engineering. * Proven experience in building construction, MEP works, or infrastructure projects. * Prior experience in GCC / Middle East construction projects is highly preferred. **Technical Skills** * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software. * Experience with project scheduling tools: Primavera P6 or MS Project. * Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions and local Qatar / GCC regulations. * Strong understanding of structural, civil, and MEP systems. * Knowledge of QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications) is an advantage. **Soft Skills** * Strong leadership, problem\-solving, and decision\-making abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal in English). * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
