Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Job Summary Gulfcraft Trading \& Services WLL is looking for an experienced **Safety Officer** to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment across field and infrastructure project sites and ensuring compliance with Qatar HSE requirements and client safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Conduct daily **site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments**. * Identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks and recommend corrective actions. * Ensure compliance with **Qatar labour and occupational safety regulations** and applicable client HSE requirements. * Implement and monitor company and client **HSE policies and procedures**. * Conduct **safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions** for employees, technicians, contractors, and site personnel. * Monitor the proper use of **PPE** and ensure workers follow safe working practices. * Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts and assist in preparing reports. * Maintain safety records, inspection reports, risk assessments, and other HSE documentation. * Coordinate with site supervisors, project teams, and contractors to improve safety performance. * Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, and other HSE activities at the project site. Requirements * **3–4 years of relevant experience** as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or similar projects. * Diploma or Degree in **Occupational Health \& Safety, HSE, Engineering, or a related field**. * **NEBOSH certification** is preferred. * Knowledge of Qatar HSE requirements and workplace safety practices. * Strong knowledge of risk assessment, site inspections, incident reporting, and toolbox talks. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively with technical teams, contractors, and site personnel.
