Shape digital ecosystem and support outstanding student experience. **About the Role** City University Qatar is seeking a highly motivated **Student Information Systems Specialist** to lead the management, configuration, and continuous enhancement of the University's student information systems. This role is central to ensuring the effective delivery of digital services that support the entire student lifecycle, with a primary focus on **Ellucian Banner**. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the successful candidate will oversee system implementation, configuration, integrations, data governance, reporting, and user adoption while ensuring digital platforms remain aligned with the University's strategic objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage and administer the University's Student Information System (Ellucian Banner) and associated digital platforms. * Lead system implementation projects, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and vendor coordination. * Configure system workflows and business rules to support admissions, registration, student records, academic operations, finance, and student services. * Work closely with academic and administrative departments to identify business requirements and implement effective digital solutions. * Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex functional issues, and coordinate resolutions with internal and external stakeholders. * Maintain data quality, integrity, security, and governance across integrated systems. * Develop reports and dashboards to support institutional planning, quality assurance, accreditation, and executive decision\-making. * Produce standard operating procedures, user documentation, and training materials. * Deliver user training and promote effective system adoption across the University. * Monitor developments in higher education technology and recommend continuous improvements to digital services. **Essential Skills \& Competencies** * Strong understanding of enterprise Student Information Systems, preferably **Ellucian Banner**. * Knowledge of higher education business processes, including admissions, registration, academic records, and the student lifecycle. * Experience with system integrations, RESTful APIs, and enterprise applications. * Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL. * Experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as Power BI. * Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React fundamentals. * Familiarity with Git, Node.js/npm, and modern development tools. * Excellent analytical, problem\-solving, organisational, and stakeholder management skills. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across academic and administrative departments. **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Transformation, or a related discipline. * A Master's degree is desirable. **Experience** * Minimum **3\-5 years'** experience supporting enterprise digital platforms within a higher education institution or similarly complex organisation. * Proven experience administering **Ellucian Banner** or a comparable Student Information System. * Experience leading or supporting system implementations, upgrades, and optimisation projects. * Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives. **Why Join City University Qatar?** At City University Qatar, you will play a key role in shaping the University's digital ecosystem and supporting an outstanding student experience.
