




Summary: The Access Control Technician installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs access control systems and related security solutions. Highlights: 1. Support integration with CCTV and other security systems **Job Purpose** The Access Control Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of access control systems and related security solutions to ensure reliable and secure operation in accordance with company standards and client requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Install, configure, and commission access control systems, including controllers, card readers, biometric devices, door locks, turnstiles, and associated equipment. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on access control systems. * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network\-related issues. * Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality. * Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications. * Perform cable pulling, termination, labeling, and testing activities. * Support integration with CCTV, intrusion alarm, fire alarm, and other security systems when required. * Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and installation documentation. * Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures. * Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, clients, and subcontractors during project execution. * Provide technical support and user guidance when required. * Participate in emergency maintenance and on\-call support activities as assigned. **Qualifications** * Diploma or Technical Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field. * Relevant certifications in security systems are an advantage. **Experience** * 2–5 years of experience in installation and maintenance of Access Control Systems. * Experience with major security platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Gallagher, HID, Suprema, or similar systems is preferred. **Knowledge \& Technical Skills** * Knowledge of access control hardware and software. * Understanding of low\-current systems and structured cabling. * Basic networking knowledge (IP Addressing, TCP/IP, Switches). * Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. * Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies and diagnostic tools. * Knowledge of health and safety requirements. **Behavioral Competencies** * Attention to Detail. * Problem Solving. * Customer Focus. * Teamwork and Collaboration. * Time Management. * Accountability. * Communication Skills. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Installation quality and compliance rate. * Preventive maintenance completion rate. * First\-time fix rate. * Response and resolution time. * System uptime and reliability. * Customer satisfaction. * Compliance with safety and quality standards.
