Engage in comprehensive project reporting, delay analysis, and recovery planning Job Summary The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling building construction and renovation projects, particularly **ASHGHAL (Public Works Authority)** projects. The role involves preparing baseline schedules, monitoring project progress, resource planning, delay analysis, recovery planning, and preparing project reports to ensure timely completion in compliance with contract requirement. Key Responsibilities1\. Project Planning \& Scheduling * Prepare detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6** and Microsoft Project. * Develop baseline, target, and recovery schedules. * Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). * Define project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables. * Develop short\-term and long\-term project plans. 2\. Progress Monitoring \& Control * Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule. * Update schedules on a weekly and monthly basis. * Identify delays and recommend corrective actions. * Prepare recovery and acceleration plans where necessary. * Monitor productivity and project performance. 3\. ASHGHAL Project Coordination * Ensure compliance with ASHGHAL specifications and contractual requirements. * Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, subcontractors, and project teams. * Attend progress review meetings with ASHGHAL and consultants. * Prepare project updates and progress presentations. 4\. Resource Planning * Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements. * Monitor resource utilization and productivity. * Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely availability of resources. * Identify resource shortages and recommend solutions. 5\. Reporting Prepare and submit: * Weekly Progress Reports * Monthly Progress Reports * Executive Progress Dashboards * Two\-week and Three\-week Look\-Ahead Schedules * Delay Analysis Reports * Recovery Plans * Earned Value Reports * S\-Curves * KPI Reports 6\. Delay Analysis \& Claims Support * Identify project delays and their causes. * Prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA). * Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims. * Maintain project records related to delays and variations. * Assist commercial and contracts teams with planning\-related documentation. 7\. Cost \& Performance Monitoring * Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors and Cost Control Engineers. * Monitor planned versus actual progress. * Track project KPIs and productivity. * Support forecasting and budget monitoring. 8\. Technical Coordination * Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and method statements. * Coordinate construction sequences with site engineers. * Ensure planning aligns with construction methodology. * Support engineering and procurement teams with schedule\-related requirements. 9\. Health, Safety \& Quality * Ensure planning activities comply with project HSE requirements. * Support QA/QC activities by integrating inspection and testing milestones into project schedules. * Promote safe construction sequencing. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. * PMP Certification is preferred. * Primavera P6 Professional Certification is highly preferred. **Experience** * **10–15 years** of experience as a Planning Engineer. * Minimum 7\-8 **years of experience on ASHGHAL building construction or renovation projects**. * UPDA will be advantage. * Ready to join immediately.
