Ensuring business continuity and supporting the digital transformation strategy Job Description – Cloud Infrastructure Architect **Job Title:** Cloud Infrastructure Architect **Location:** State of Qatar **Job Summary:** A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and developing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions. The role also involves leading cloud transformation initiatives, establishing architectural standards and policies, ensuring business continuity, and supporting the organization’s digital transformation strategy. **Key Responsibilities:** * Designing and developing cloud infrastructure architectures across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. * Developing cloud computing strategies, governance frameworks, standards, and best practices. * Leading cloud migration projects and technology infrastructure modernization initiatives. * Designing highly available, resilient, and scalable cloud solutions. * Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements, regulatory regulations, and compliance standards. * Developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using automation tools. * Collaborating with application, security, network, and operations teams to integrate cloud services. * Optimizing cloud system performance and efficiently managing costs and resources. * Conducting architectural reviews and providing technical guidance for technology projects. * Developing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. * Evaluating emerging cloud technologies and recommending appropriate improvements. * Supporting DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 5 years in cloud engineering or cloud solution design. * Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or multi-cloud environments. * Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. * Advanced knowledge of virtualization, networking, containers, and Kubernetes platform. * Deep understanding of cloud security standards, compliance frameworks, and governance. * Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are preferred. * Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, along with strong problem-solving and technical decision-making abilities.
