Opportunity to ensure safety and excellence at Spark locations **Position Summary** Spark is seeking a dependable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Technician \& Driver to ensure that all company facilities, attractions, furniture, equipment, vehicles, and staff accommodation remain safe, functional, and well maintained. This is a hands\-on role requiring practical experience in plumbing, carpentry, general building maintenance, repairs, furniture assembly, and driving. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting operational requirements, transporting staff and materials, and responding promptly to maintenance issues across all Spark locations. The role plays a critical part in maintaining the high\-quality environment and guest experience expected at Spark. **Key Responsibilities** **Facility Maintenance** * Carry out daily inspections of all Spark facilities and identify maintenance requirements. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise operational downtime. * Repair and maintain doors, locks, cabinets, shelving, counters, wooden fixtures, partitions, and furniture. * Assemble, install, and repair furniture, displays, storage units, and equipment. * Perform plumbing maintenance including repairs to taps, sinks, toilets, drainage systems, water leaks, and piping. * Undertake minor electrical repairs such as replacing light fittings, switches, sockets, bulbs, and other basic electrical components where competent to do so. * Carry out painting, touch\-up work, silicone sealing, wall repairs, and general finishing works. * Install signage, decorations, shelving, artwork, fixtures, and operational equipment. * Replace damaged fixtures and fittings as required. * Maintain playground equipment and ensure all attractions remain safe and operational. * Respond immediately to maintenance requests from management and departments. **Driving Responsibilities** * Drive company vehicles safely and professionally. * Transport staff between company locations when required. * Collect furniture, maintenance materials, equipment, tools, and operational supplies. * Deliver company documents and materials to suppliers, government entities, and business partners. * Support branch setup, relocations, and logistics. * Ensure company vehicles remain clean, fuelled, and properly maintained. * Conduct routine vehicle inspections and immediately report any faults or servicing requirements. **Operational Suppor**t * Assist in setting up workshops, events, parties, seasonal decorations, and new attractions. * Move furniture and equipment safely. * Support branch renovations, upgrades, and expansion projects. * Coordinate with external contractors whenever specialised repairs are required. * Maintain an organised maintenance workshop and storage area. * Monitor maintenance supplies and notify management before stock is depleted. * Keep accurate maintenance records when requested. **Health, Safety \& Compliance** * Ensure all maintenance work complies with Spark’s Health \& Safety policies. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. * Use tools, equipment, ladders, and machinery safely. * Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) whenever required. * Report hazards, accidents, damages, and unsafe conditions immediately. * Ensure repairs are completed to a professional and safe standard. **Qualifications \& Experience** * High School Certificate or equivalent. * Technical certification in plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, or a related trade is preferred. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, handyman services, or a similar role. * Demonstrated experience in plumbing and carpentry is essential. * Experience working in family entertainment centres, schools, hospitality, malls, or commercial facilities is an advantage. **Skills \& Competencies** * Strong plumbing skills. * Strong carpentry and furniture repair skills. * Basic electrical maintenance knowledge. * Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and implement practical solutions. * Experience using hand tools and power tools safely. * Good organisational and time\-management skills. * Ability to prioritise urgent repairs. * Honest, dependable, and trustworthy. * Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual work. **Mandatory Requirements** * Valid Qatari Driving Licence. * Clean driving record. * Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. * Willingness to travel between all Spark branches, facilities, suppliers, and staff accommodation. * Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required. * Ability to respond to emergency maintenance issues outside normal working hours when necessary. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Timely completion of maintenance requests. * Preventive maintenance schedule completed on time. * Minimal equipment and facility downtime. * Safe and compliant maintenance practices. * Company vehicles maintained in good condition. * Positive feedback from management regarding responsiveness and workmanship. * Efficient completion of repairs with minimal disruption to operations. * Clean, safe, and professional appearance of all Spark facilities. **Working Conditions** * Work is performed across all Spark locations, including branches, staff accommodation, storage facilities, and company vehicles. * The role involves standing, lifting, climbing ladders, operating tools and equipment, and working both indoors and outdoors. * Flexibility is required to support operational needs, special events, emergency repairs, and facility improvements outside standard working hours. **At Spark,
