We are seeking an experienced and vigilant **Control Room Supervisor** to oversee road network operations within the **Roads Management Centre (RMC)**. The role involves using **Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)** and expert judgment to monitor traffic patterns, identify potential congestion, and implement tactical interventions that enhance traffic flow and public safety. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, real\-time incident management, and effective coordination across Qatar’s national road network. **Key Responsibilities** * Utilize **ITS systems** and professional experience to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, and road workers. * Monitor and analyze traffic patterns to anticipate congestion and implement appropriate interventions. * Manage **incidents, weather events, and emergencies** impacting the road network confidently and safely. * Operate and oversee **traffic signals, CCTV systems, dynamic message signs**, and tunnel operations. * Coordinate **road closures**, **traffic diversions**, and provide **real\-time traffic updates** to stakeholders. * Collaborate closely with internal departments, emergency services, and external agencies. * Support **major events** and operations involving abnormal or hazardous loads. * Ensure adherence to **Quality, Health, and Safety** policies and operational procedures. * Maintain **data security, system integrity**, and professionalism at all times. * Provide feedback to software and system development teams for ongoing improvement. * Perform assigned duties in a **24/7 shift\-based operational environment**. * Undertake any additional tasks required by management. **Qualifications \& Experience** **Essential:** * Bachelor’s Degree or higher in **Engineering** or a related field. * Minimum **10 years of experience** in a Roads Control Room environment, operating ITS systems. * Proven expertise in **Incident Management** and **Safety\-Critical System Operations**. * Strong working knowledge of **complex ITS platforms and modular systems**. * Excellent **verbal and written communication** skills in English. * Experience working in **rotational shift environments**. **Technical Knowledge** * Experience with at least one **transportation\-specific Video Management System (VMS)**. * Working knowledge of **Tunnel Management Systems** or **Road Incident Management Systems**. **Personal Attributes** * Strong **leadership**, **teamwork**, and **project management** capabilities. * Excellent **analytical and problem\-solving** skills with attention to detail. * Highly **motivated**, proactive, and able to deliver under minimal supervision. * Strong **presentation and content development** skills. * Customer\-focused with a results\-driven approach.
