Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and identify contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) prior to beginning service. Stay current with techniques and modalities related to area of expertise. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Set up workstations, treatment rooms, and curtains. Frequently check in with guests to promote comfort, safety, and security during service. Promote and sell spa and salon services, including spa-related retail offers. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and soiled linens, and secure inventory and equipment at the end of each shift. Monitor and adhere to schedule throughout the day. Manage inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures for inappropriate conduct involving guests and therapists, up to and including stopping a treatment or service and notifying supervisor or manager. Maintain current skills and certifications in service area according to regional requirements. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; complete safety training and obtain certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure proper and clean uniform is worn; maintain a professional appearance at all times while on property; uphold confidentiality when disseminating information related to the brand and/or hotel; protect all company assets. Welcome and greet all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Use clear, courteous communication in all interactions. Develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with others. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Perform all other tasks requested by supervisors that are consistent with the position. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Diploma from a technical, vocational, or professional school. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
