





The **Purchasing Officer** is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high\-quality food, beverage, and operational supplies for the company’s restaurants and catering operations. The role ensures timely procurement of materials at the best possible cost while maintaining quality and consistency in line with company standards. The Purchasing Officer works closely with suppliers, kitchen teams, and management to ensure smooth supply chain operations that support daily business needs. **Key Responsibilities:** **Procurement \& Sourcing:** * Identify reliable suppliers and maintain strong relationships to ensure consistent supply of food, beverage, and non\-food items. * Request and evaluate quotations to ensure the best price\-quality balance. * Prepare and process purchase orders in line with approved requisitions and company policies. * Source specialty and seasonal products required for catering and restaurant menus. * Maintain updated supplier databases, product lists, and pricing records. **Inventory \& Cost Control:** * Coordinate with the **Storekeeper**, **Chef**, and **Restaurant Manager** to forecast demand and plan orders accordingly. * Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking. * Ensure all purchases are aligned with budgetary limits and cost\-control targets. * Verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications before acceptance. * Participate in monthly stocktaking and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities. **Quality \& Compliance:** * Ensure all suppliers meet **Qatar’s food safety and hygiene regulations**. * Verify that all purchased goods comply with the company’s quality standards and brand requirements. * Maintain complete and accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit purposes. * Coordinate with the accounts department for supplier payments and invoice reconciliations. **Vendor Management:** * Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. * Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, and reliability. * Identify potential new vendors and alternative products to improve cost efficiency. **Coordination \& Reporting:** * Work closely with kitchen, catering, and operations teams to meet their material and ingredient needs. * Prepare and present weekly and monthly procurement reports to management. * Assist in developing and implementing purchasing policies and best practices. **Qualifications and Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in **Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management**. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in **purchasing within the F\&B, catering, or hospitality industry**. * Strong knowledge of **food ingredients, kitchen equipment, and restaurant supplies**. * Proven negotiation and vendor management skills. * Good understanding of **Qatar market suppliers and import procedures**. * Proficiency in **MS Office** and **procurement software/ERP systems**. * Excellent communication, organization, and time\-management skills. * Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. * Must be **locally available in Qatar** Job Type: Full\-time Pay: Up to QAR4,500\.00 per month Application Question(s): * How many years of job experience do you have in F\&B Qatar ?
