Supervise and manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems A skilled and proactive Shift Engineer is required to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of all engineering and mechanical systems within a luxury hospitality environment. The role ensures uninterrupted service, optimal performance of equipment, and compliance with safety and operational standards during assigned shifts. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise and manage engineering operations during assigned shifts, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. * Respond promptly to technical faults, maintenance requests, and emergencies to minimize disruption to guests and operations. * Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of engineering systems. * Ensure compliance with Health \& Safety regulations and hotel policies. * Maintain accurate logs, shift reports, and documentation of maintenance activities. * Coordinate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction. * Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment as required. * Monitor energy usage, equipment performance, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. * Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, providing technical support and training when needed. * Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are stored and maintained in a safe, organized manner. **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Shift Engineer, preferably within luxury hotels or resorts. * Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently under pressure. * Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards. * Excellent problem\-solving, analytical, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physically fit and able to handle maintenance tasks safely.
