Work collaboratively in a team environment **Job Description: Flat\-Pack Modular Building Installer/Erector** **Position Overview:** We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team as Flat\-Pack Modular Building Installers/Erectors. The role involves assembling, installing, and erecting prefabricated modular units for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, modular building systems, or related fields and be capable of working in challenging environments while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Assembly and Installation:** Assemble and install flat\-pack modular units, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows, as per provided instructions and method statements. * **Site Preparation:** Prepare the site for installation, including leveling foundations, ensuring proper drainage, and setting up concrete pedestals. * **Structural Integrity:** Ensure all modular units are securely connected and meet design specifications for stability and safety. * **Supervision and Coordination:** Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of projects. * **Quality Assurance:** Inspect modular units for defects and ensure compliance with fire rating, insulation, and other technical specifications. * **Maintenance and Repairs:** Perform minor repairs and adjustments during installation to ensure proper functionality. * **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards, including proper handling of tools and materials. * **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of installation progress and report any issues to the project manager. **Qualifications and Skills:** * **Experience:** Prior experience in modular building installation, construction, or related fields is preferred. * **Technical Knowledge:** Familiarity with modular building systems, including flat\-pack assembly, fire\-rated panels, and insulation materials. * **Physical Fitness:** Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. * **Problem\-Solving:** Strong troubleshooting skills to address installation challenges effectively. * **Teamwork:** Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * **Attention to Detail:** Precision in following technical specifications and ensuring quality standards. * **Tools and Equipment:** Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment. **Preferred Certifications:** * Certification in construction safety or modular building systems is a plus. * Familiarity with international building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, NFPA). **Work Environment:** * Projects may involve working in remote or challenging locations, including under high\-temperature or cold\-weather conditions.
