Manage all e-commerce opportunities. Build strong working relationships with tourism boards and community leaders. **Candidate Profile** **Education and Experience Required** * High school diploma or equivalent (GED); 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area. Or * Two-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required. **Core Work Activities** **Conduct daily marketing activities to achieve departmental goals** * Assist in coordinating room, food and beverage, spa, and golf promotions within the region. * Develop leisure marketing plans addressing allocation of rate promotions, packages, and programs designed to increase occupancy. * Maintain, update, and manage all websites. * Coordinate all offers and information for publications and inserts related to brand loyalty reward mailings. * Write brochures and hotel collateral materials. * Participate in all imagery work for the hotel (e.g., signage). * Use and interpret all reports necessary to make sound marketing recommendations, including but not limited to DMA market reports, past guest lists (utilizing leisure rate codes), and tracking. * Review and provide analysis on tracking for all website and email campaigns, including individual hotel websites, corporate email campaign results, and Marriott.com hotel reports. * Ensure consistent marketing messages are communicated across all advertising and collateral efforts. * Manage annual marketing budget. * Provide regular tracking/return on investment (ROI) and analysis for promotions as well as website/email campaigns, calculate ROI using industry averages, and apply this knowledge to future planning. * Track ROI for all marketing activities, including online, direct mail, and print advertising. * Monitor actual marketing expenditures against planned budgets and provide recommendations and advice on fund reallocation as needed. * Ensure consistency in messaging across all customer touchpoints and marketing communications for each hotel, adhering not only to corporate graphic standards but also representing the individual hotel. **Stay informed of market trends and target customer data to maximize revenue** * Evaluate new marketing opportunities for the hotel. * Ensure the hotel is represented on all premium internet sites with potential for generating business. * Work closely with respective convention bureaus and tourism offices. * Use and interpret all reports necessary to make sound marketing recommendations, including but not limited to DMA market reports, past guest lists (utilizing leisure rate codes), and tracking. * Review and provide analysis on tracking for all website and email campaigns, including individual hotel websites, corporate email campaign results, and Marriott.com hotel reports. * Develop strategic marketing plans for the hotel, including group, leisure, and local events. * Plan and supervise all photo shoots, creating shot lists while keeping in mind hotel objectives and brand image. **Build successful relationships that generate sales and marketing opportunities** * Identify and communicate with distribution channels for sellable distressed inventory to improve hotel occupancy. * Provide creative, unique tools for all sales channels to assist the hotel’s sales and marketing efforts. * Act as liaison between the corporation and individual hotels to launch programs and ensure hotels fully leverage all corporate opportunities. * Collaborate with media buyers to plan and execute advertising campaigns. * Assist the hotel in promoting various events, keeping in mind strategic objectives and the prerequisite of "no further inquiry needed." * Assist the hotel in providing materials, tracking/analysis, and presentations to owners. * Represent the hotel in dealings with all vendors, balancing quality and cost, request estimates, and approve all materials as needed. **Other Marketing Responsibilities** * Maintain detailed documentation and records of all matters related to hotel marketing materials (photo usage rights, vendor contracts, etc.). * Ensure the hotel complies with all corporate marketing guidelines. * Approve all invoices through the MarrCom office. *Marriott International is committed to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming and providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
