Summary: The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel engines and related systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation while adhering to safety regulations. Highlights: 1. Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine faults using specialized tools. 2. Perform comprehensive maintenance and overhaul of diesel engines and systems. 3. Inspect and repair various vehicle systems, including hydraulic and electrical. * Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment. * Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and fluid inspections. * Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and drivetrain components. * Inspect, service, and repair fuel injection systems, turbochargers, cooling systems, and exhaust systems. * Test and troubleshoot engine performance, electrical systems, and electronic control modules (ECMs). * Replace worn or damaged engine parts to restore vehicle and equipment performance. * Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend service life. * Inspect and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, steering, suspension, and braking systems on diesel vehicles and equipment. * Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service specifications. * Perform final testing and road tests to verify repairs and ensure safe operation. * Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and parts inventory documentation. * Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workshop.
