Development of leadership competencies within plant teams **Plant Director** **Purpose of the Role:** To lead and manage the plant's full operations to ensure achievement of production, quality, safety, and cost objectives, while improving operational efficiency and enhancing the plant’s overall performance in alignment with the company’s strategy. **Key Responsibilities & Duties:** * Full oversight of daily plant operations and ensuring efficient production flow. * Development and implementation of the plant’s operational and production strategy. * Achievement of production targets in terms of volume, quality, and cost. * Management of plant teams (production, maintenance, quality, HSE, warehousing). * Improvement of production processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. * Ensuring compliance with global quality standards (e.g., ISO) and technical specifications. * Implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards within the plant. * Management of the operational budget and cost optimization. * Oversight of preventive and operational equipment maintenance. * Analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementation of corrective actions. * Management of operational risks and development of emergency response plans. * Coordination with supply chain and procurement functions to ensure raw material availability. * Development of leadership competencies within plant teams. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). * Minimum 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Experience managing large-scale plants or multi-line production facilities. * Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO, Lean, Six Sigma). * In-depth understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. * Strong leadership and management skills. * Proficiency in English (Arabic is an added advantage). **Required Skills:** * Operational leadership * Production and manufacturing management * Process optimization * Problem-solving and decision-making * Management of cross-functional teams * Cost and budget management **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) * Quality rate and defect reduction * On-time production schedule adherence * Cost and waste reduction * Safety metrics (Zero Incidents Target) **Working Conditions:** * Full-time position * Industrial / plant work environment * Requires continuous on-site presence * May include shift work or emergency response duties depending on plant requirements * Potential for travel across production sites, both domestically and internationally Employment Type: Permanent Salary: QAR٤٢٬٠٠٠٫٠٠ per month Work Location: Hybrid role with remote work based in Doha (Doha)
