We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electrical systems. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment onboard vessels while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and preventive maintenance schedules. **Responsibilities** * Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on marine electrical systems and equipment. * Diagnose and repair electrical faults on vessels and marine machinery. * Maintain and service generators, switchboards, transformers, motors, batteries, chargers, lighting systems, control panels, and electrical distribution systems. * Inspect, test, and maintain shore power systems and associated electrical infrastructure. * Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules. * Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. * Prepare and maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation. * Monitor the performance of electrical systems and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. * Coordinate electrical maintenance activities during vessel servicing and dry docking. * Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, and electrical materials required for maintenance activities. * Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency repair requests. * Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and maritime regulations. * Support inspections conducted by regulatory authorities and ensure all electrical systems meet required standards. * Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational efficiency. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Marine Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine electrical maintenance or a similar role. * Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including generators, switchboards, motors, electrical distribution systems, batteries, and control panels. * Experience with planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. * Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and industry standards. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage. * Good command of written and spoken English.
