Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of safety Zeal\-It is seeking proactive and dedicated HSE Officers to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental policies across the campus. The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards, conducting safety inspections, facilitating training, and promoting a culture of safety among staff and students. Responsibilities: * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all campus activities comply with Qatar’s health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices. * Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across campus facilities to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. * Safety Inspections: Perform routine inspections of laboratories, workshops, buildings, and outdoor areas to ensure safety protocols are followed. * Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near\-misses, and safety breaches; prepare reports and implement corrective measures. * Training \& Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs, safety orientations, and awareness campaigns for staff, faculty, and students. * Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness of emergency equipment. * Documentation \& Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, trainings, and safety audits; prepare regular reports for management. * Environmental Management: Monitor environmental aspects, waste management, and sustainability initiatives on campus. * Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with evolving HSE standards and implement improvements to enhance campus safety culture. * Collaboration: Work closely with campus departments, external agencies, and contractors to ensure safety compliance. Minimum Qualification and Experience * The (2\) HSE Officers designated as Radiation Protection support shall, at all times during the Contract, hold and maintain valid certification from a locally approved training center in Qatar and successfully pass the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) examination, in addition to possessing a valid MOECC license as Radiation Protection Technicians or higher applicable designation. Each technician shall continuously wear an approved personal passive dosimeter (OSL or TLD) capable of measuring Alpha, Beta, and Gamma radiation, and shall also be equipped with a personal dosimeter with a valid MOECC\-approved calibration certificate. The Contractor shall ensure submission of quarterly occupational dose reports through a locally approved service provider. * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline. * Minimum three (3\) years of relevant HSE and/or environmental experience. * NEBOSH or IGC certificate/diploma. * Basic Safety Officer certificate from an accredited institute. * Advanced first aid/basic safety training certificate.Internal audit training from an accredited institution. * 19Training on Chemical Handling (Including Spill)ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 * Internal Auditor training from an accredited institution. * Good computer literacy in MS Office.
