**A Procurement Engineer in the construction sector is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and subcontracted services to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.** This role combines engineering expertise with procurement skills, requiring strong negotiation, technical knowledge, and vendor management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* **Material sourcing**: Identify and evaluate suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
* **Vendor negotiations**: Manage RFQs, bid evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
* **Purchase orders**: Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery aligned with project schedules.
* **Coordination with teams**: Work closely with engineering and project management teams to meet technical specifications.
* **Compliance management**: Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
* **Supplier performance**: Monitor deliveries, conduct inspections, and resolve supplier\-related issues.

Qualifications \& Skills
