Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events Position Title **Safety Engineer** Position Summary The Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and providing technical safety support to engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance teams. Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Management * Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems. * Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and company requirements. * Monitor workplace activities and verify adherence to safety procedures. Risk Assessment \& Hazard Control * Conduct hazard identification studies and risk assessments. * Review Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Method Statements. * Recommend engineering and administrative controls to eliminate or reduce risks. * Participate in design reviews to incorporate safety requirements into projects. Site Inspections \& Audits * Perform routine safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work activities. * Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are implemented. * Track and close out audit findings and safety observations. Incident Investigation * Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events. * Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed investigation reports. * Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Training \& Awareness * Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs. * Promote a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns and engagement activities. * Support competency assessments related to safety\-critical activities. Emergency Preparedness * Assist in developing emergency response plans and procedures. * Coordinate emergency drills and evaluate response effectiveness. * Support incident command and emergency response activities when required. Documentation \& Reporting * Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports. * Maintain records of inspections, audits, incidents, risk assessments, and training. * Analyze safety performance indicators and recommend improvements. QualificationsEducation * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or related discipline). Work Location: In person
