Summary: The Engineer - Specialty Systems Specialist is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and corrective actions for AGV and PT Permit-to-Work systems, providing team support for authorization, oversight, and emergency response. Highlights: 1. Supervises and improves Automated Guided Vehicle and Pneumatic Tube systems. 2. Leads permit-to-work activities related to facilities operation and maintenance. 3. Provides project supervision adhering to Quality and Safety requirements. **JOB SUMMARY:** The Engineer \- Specialty Systems Specialist is primarily responsible for the operation, maintenance, corrective actions for AGV and PT Permit\-to\-Work systems. Responsibilities also include providing a team approach to general Permit\-to\-Work authorization/investigation, contractor oversight, troubleshooting, budgeting input and facilities emergency response. Other duties include being cross\-trained to fill in for the other Engineers while on leave or unavailable. **KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:** * Supervises and is responsible for Automated Guided Vehicle system (AGVS). * Supervises and is responsible for Pneumatic Tube System (PTS). * Improves and monitors the performance of AGV System. * Improves and monitors the performance of PT System. * Supervises and participates in the completion of both scheduled and unscheduled work orders and emergency service calls. * Maintains required PT and AGV systems records. * Makes effective recommendations for AGV system configurations. * Makes effective recommendations for PT system configurations. * Assists in the development of policies, and procedures for AGV System. * Assists in the development of policies, and procedures for PT System. * Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, monitors and approve work conducted by contractors, vendors and outsourced providers. * Reviews and approves established preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for PT System. * Reviews and approves established preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for AGV System. * Addresses end\-user/staff requests. * Leads all permit\-to\-work related to facilities operation and maintenance. * Ensures that contractors are meeting the requirements with Sidra in all aspects. * Provides project supervision and executive adhering to designed Quality and Safety requirements. * Assists in emergency response activities. * Supports all licensure and regulatory surveys with requested documentation, drawing, etc. * Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies * Adheres to and promotes Sidra’s Values **QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:** * **ESSENTIAL** **PREFERRED** Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent Mechatronics engineer specialty Experience + 5 \+ years relevant experience in Healthcare + Exceptions to the experience requirement may be granted for Qatari nationals (internal and external candidates), with a reduction of up to two (2\) years.
