Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) **Job Description** We are looking for a **Software Engineering Director** with proven leadership experience in managing software development teams and leading technical initiatives to deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions. The candidate will be responsible for defining engineering strategy, overseeing the full software development lifecycle, and ensuring adherence to best practices in design, development, testing, and deployment — all aligned with corporate objectives and business requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop and execute software engineering strategies aligned with corporate goals. * Lead and manage software development teams, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery. * Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis through deployment and support. * Establish and adopt engineering standards and best practices for software design, code quality, and testing. * Collaborate with Product Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to achieve project goals. * Oversee software architecture design and ensure system scalability and high performance. * Lead Agile and DevOps transformation initiatives and enhance continuous development processes (CI/CD). * Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with regulatory policies. * Manage technical budgets and resources; evaluate and adopt appropriate tools and technologies. * Develop team technical competencies through training, mentoring, and performance evaluation. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare technical reports for executive management. * Track emerging technologies and industry trends in software engineering and propose innovative solutions. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is preferred. * Minimum of **10 years** of software development experience, including at least **5 years** in a managerial or leadership role. * Experience managing large-scale software development teams and complex technical projects. * Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, frameworks, databases, and cloud services. * Experience with **Agile**, **Scrum**, **DevOps**, **CI/CD**, and modern software engineering practices. * Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as **AWS**, **Microsoft Azure**, or **Google Cloud Platform**. * Experience using project management tools such as **Jira** and **Azure DevOps**. * Professional certifications such as **PMP**, **Scrum Master**, or cloud-related certifications are preferred. * Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written. **Required Skills** * Leadership and cross-functional engineering team management skills. * Strategic thinking and ability to make sound technical decisions. * Strong problem analysis and software solution design capabilities. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
