At our hotels, these associates help build a memorable and unique experience — beyond spa services alone. Spa specialists demonstrate initiative and deliver a wide range of services to ensure guests’ experiences are unforgettable. Whether promoting spa services or retail sales, taking and confirming reservations, answering questions about services, registering guests, or processing payments, the spa specialist ensures that transactions feel like an integral part of the guest experience. Regardless of your specific role, certain fundamentals are essential to success — creating a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications reflect professionalism. The spa specialist role requires being on your feet and moving (standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods); navigating sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces; operating reservation software (reading and visually verifying information); and getting hands-on with your work (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) unassisted and 25 pounds (11.4 kg) with assistance; reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and squatting). It is essential that spa specialists perform all these tasks flawlessly (and any other reasonable duties assigned) — so our guests remain consistently satisfied and our business continues to thrive.
