Lead and mentor a team of material engineers, providing technical guidance The Senior Material Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting Ashghal projects, working within the GEC Supervision department. This position involves managing and overseeing material engineering activities, with a focus on maintaining high standards and adhering to project requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of infrastructure projects in Qatar. * Oversee material engineering activities for Ashghal projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. * Review and approve material testing and inspection plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements. * Conduct regular site visits to monitor material engineering processes and provide guidance to on\-site teams. * Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure material engineering activities are integrated into project timelines. * Manage and mentor a team of material engineers, providing technical guidance and support. * Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in material engineering practices. * Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on material engineering activities, including recommendations and findings. * Participate in project meetings and provide expert input on material\-related matters. * Ensure compliance with Ashghal requirements and regulations throughout the project lifecycle. * Bachelor's degree in Material Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. * A minimum of 12 years of experience in material engineering, with a strong background in infrastructure projects. * Professional registration or certification in Material Engineering is highly advantageous. * Proven experience in managing and overseeing material engineering activities for large\-scale projects. * Excellent knowledge of material testing and inspection techniques, and industry standards. * Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop a team. * Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. * Willingness to travel and work on\-site as required by project needs. * A proactive and solution\-oriented approach to problem\-solving. * Must hold a valid MMUP/UPDA registration (Engineer Classification) in Qatar.
