Support financial management and assist with auditing Job Purpose The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, and supporting the financial management of the organization. The employee shall perform duties in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar and the Company's policies and procedures. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Maintain accurate books of accounts and accounting records. * Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts. * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and journal entries. * Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. * Prepare payroll\-related accounting entries as required. * Ensure compliance with applicable tax and financial reporting requirements. * Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. * Assist internal and external auditors by providing the required documentation and reports. * Safeguard confidential financial information and company records. * Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. * Perform any other accounting or finance\-related duties assigned by management within the scope of the position. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. * Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience (or as required by the employer). * Proficiency in accounting software Quick Books and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). * Knowledge of Qatar's financial regulations and VAT/tax requirements (where applicable).
