The primary responsibility is to transport packages, documents, and goods from one location to another within a designated timeline. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong sense of direction, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. **Key Responsibilities** **Pick\-up and Delivery:** * Safely transport parcels, letters, and freight to specified destinations (businesses, homes, and warehouses). * Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries. * Verify the accuracy of shipments against waybills or invoices before departure. **Vehicle Maintenance:** * Perform daily vehicle safety checks (oil, gas, tires, brakes, lights). * Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and well\-maintained. * Report any vehicle issues or accidents to management immediately. **Customer Service:** * Interact professionally with customers during pick\-ups and drop\-offs. * Obtain signatures and confirm receipt of deliveries. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor delivery issues on the spot. **Documentation:** * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick\-ups, and vehicle mileage. * Process cash or card payments (if applicable) and issue receipts. * Report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to dispatch. **Qualifications \& Requirements** **Education:** * High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required). **Experience:** * Proven experience as a courier, delivery driver, or similar role (preferred). * Familiarity with \[City/Region] streets and traffic patterns. **Licenses \& Certifications:** * Valid driver’s license (Class \[e.g., C or CDL]). * Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years). * \[If applicable: Hazardous Materials Endorsement or DOT certification]. **Skills:** * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Ability to navigate using GPS and physical maps. * Basic math skills for handling payments. * Good physical stamina (ability to lift up to \[e.g., 50 lbs] regularly).
